With a full 50 car entry expected for the Boconnoc Stage Rally on 27 July, motor clubs and traders are being invited to book their space at the Go Motorsport Live South West event being hosted in conjunction with the rally at the stunning West Country venue.
As with the very successful national Go Motorsport Live event held at Silverstone last year, this is the ideal opportunity for clubs in the region to promote themselves with free stand space. Traders are equally welcome to fill 5x5m units for £50.00.
Pre-booking is essential to guarantee space availability. Camping onsite is available for all exhibitors and it is hoped that a barbecue will be happening on the Saturday evening.
A date to remember... 27th July 2014 at Boconnoc is a must!
In the depths of the Cornish countryside two years ago there was a merry band of like minded petrol heads with a vision!
Their vision was to create an annual celebration of Cornish Motoring, to be held at the beautiful Boconnoc Estate, Nr. Lostwithiel. Many of you will be familiar with the excellent events already held there, none more so than the Spring Flower Show and the Steam Fair.
Five motoring organisations in the south west joined together in 2012 to hatch and develop this brand new event and see it through to its maturity. Members of Camel Vale, Newquay, Truro, Plymouth and South Hams motor clubs lifted the lid on what could turn out to be a real gem of an event for the future.
The story so far... To get the ball rolling in 2012, the event was a motor rally, where spectators could watch from several vantage points, wander around the paddock and also talk to the competitors.
Some stands and displays provided additional interest.
In future, with a little more time for planning, the event will become much more. The whole concept will include Classic cars, displays, stands, demonstrations, a selection of vehicles from all types of motorsport including circuit racing cars, hillclimb machines, off road, both sporting and production trials and someone to tell you the difference! There will also be a selection of vehicles for spectators to drive on a designated course. In fact lots to look forward to!
So, a date to remember Sunday 27th July 2014. I’ll be there, hope you will be too!
